Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) 'Life changing. I was assessed effectively in the first instance, I was then coached in a manner befitting my circumstances as I had a tendency towards PDA. All demands were removed and the CBT was suggested, not prescribed. My depression has subsided, my reliance on self medication has subsided, I am relaxed, re-purposed, calm, collected without any anxiety or panic attacks and I can face demands that previously would be too much for me to handle. Absolutely brilliant! I am a better and more balanced human being and am privileged to have been in a position to be treated by Cathy, I rate myself as a very lucky human being, having had a variety of ineffective treatments spanning 20 to 30 years and then I meet Cathy. Wow! It suddenly all made sense. Fabulous, I am a new man! I cannot thank Cathy enough.' Adult PDA, October 2018
Training 'Karen is knowledgeable and the examples given were great. I've been getting support from CAMHS for 11 years and Karen was able to provide strategies that will work with my child for the first time. I could relate to the many examples she discussed and clearly has walked the walk in this subject. The course was great for home life as a parent and in my role as a Behaviour Support Advisor. I can now give ideas for strategies instead of just empathising. This was a great course and has given me motivation to try these strategies in future and see a brighter future for my daughter.' Parent, October 2018
Coaching 'I personally could never thank Cathy enough for all she did for us. My eldest daughter is now diagnosed with ASD/PDA and separation anxiety disorder. That is because of Cathy's help. Our life is never going to be easy or the life like others live, however it's our life and we are living it the best way for us (reduced demands) and PDA parenting techniques.' Parent, West Sussex, October 2018
Training 'Hi Karen, I recently attended your PDA training in Manchester with my husband. I wanted to let you know about my little successes. I used your strategies during my sons meltdowns and managed to cut them off before they escalated. Three times it has worked and am over the moon. It may not work every time but so far three out of three. I just wanted to thank you. Joanne x' Parent, September 2018
